LANDRY, CLAIRA - 1927 - 2014 - Claira Landry, 86, wife of the late Jean-Baptiste Landry, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at the Dr. Gorges-L. Dumont UHC. Born October 31, 1927 in Bas-Cap-Pelé, she was the daughter of the late Tilmon and Alma (Leblanc) Cormier. She is survived by her six children: Alva Gaudet (Roméo), Jean-Guy Landry (Émilie), Roger (Dianne), Jeannine and Michel all of Cap-Pelé, Elphège (Chrissy) of Rogersville; seven sisters: Huberte Thibodeau (Émile), Léona Gallant (Alphie) and Albertine Albert (Alphonse) all of Cormier-Village, Amanda Dupuis (Normand) of Dieppe, Émilia Duguay (Ulysse) of Moncton, Elda Jones (Donald) and Majella Doiron (Rhéal) all of Cap-Pelé; two brothers: Norbert Cormier of Cap-Pelé and Charles-Omer Cormier (Bernice) of Coles-Island; two sisters-in-law: Loretta Cormier and Hélène Cormier both of Bas-Cap-Pelé; one brother-in-law, Francis LeBlanc of Cap-Pelé; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, Shawn; a niece, Donna Marie (Jones) Nesbitt; two sisters: Noëlla Hickey and Bernadette LeBlanc; two brothers: Ernest Cormier and Roméo Cormier.
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral Centre, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé (577-3297). Visiting hours are Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 2 to 4 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at the Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila Church, Cap-Pelé, Thursday, August 14 2014 at 4 pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In memory of Claira, a contribution to the Dumont UHC Foundation or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick would be appreciated.
