FINNO, VIDA (GLENCROSS) - (1930 - 2014) - REXTON, NB - Vida Finno, 84 of the Rexton Lions Nursing home passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, August 10, 2014. Born in Rexton, NB she was the daughter of the late Stanley and late Jessie (Glendenning) Glencross. Before retiring, Vida was employed at the Rexton Lions Nursing Home and the Kingston Hospital in Rexton. She loved her horses especially her pony named Blondie, she was an avid supporter of the SPCA and many other non-profit organizations. She also was known as the "Rexton Photographer" for she never went anywhere without her camera. She will be sadly missed by her sister, Lois Beck (late Harold) of Rexton and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Harrison and two brothers, Allison and Arnold.
Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home with visitation beginning on Thursday at 1:00 pm until time of service. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 2:00 pm Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, Richibucto, officiated by Rev. Cecil Symes. Interment will take place following the service at the St. Andrews United Cemetery, Rexton. Donations in Vida's memory may be made to the St. Andrew's Memory Tree Fund, SPCA or donor's choice and would be appreciated by the family.
