BUCHANAN, CURTIS DANIEL - At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB on August 11, 2014, Mr. Curtis Daniel Buchanan, companion of Rose (LeBlanc) Patterson of Saint John, NB, formerly of Second Falls, NB. Born at Second Falls, NB on June 23, 1953, he was a son of the late Merlin and Phyllis (Kinney) Buchanan. A loving companion, father, brother, uncle and friend, in addition to his companion, Rose, he is survived by two sons, Curtis W. Buchanan (Lacy-Tyra Bailey) of Saint John, NB and Gregg (Allison) Buchanan of St. George, NB; the mother of his children, Betty (Murray) Buchanan; siblings, Pauline Craig of Bonny River, NB, Audrey Noddin (Rosetta) of St. George, NB, Neil Buchanan of Second Falls, NB, Ramona (Lyle) Boyd of Canal, NB, Glendon (Kaye) Buchanan of Second Falls, NB, Crystal (Dale) Shaw of Utopia, NB, Charlotte (Glen) Norman of Second Falls, NB, Carol (Gerry) Henry of Bonny River, NB and Duane (Ellen) Buchanan of Second Falls and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Curtis was predeceased by one sister, Rachel Matthews. Prior to illness, Curtis worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Dennis Hall Construction in St. George. He loved playing the guitar and singing. Curtis was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and could often be found in the woods. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB. In keeping with Curtis’ wishes, there will be no formal visitation. The Funeral Service will be held from the St. George Baptist Church on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 2 pm with Rev. Reg Ward officiating. In Curtis’ memory donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or to the Eastern Charlotte Extra Mural Program would be appreciated by the family.
