It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joseph Barry announce his passing at his family residence in Corner Brook on Monday, August 11, 2014 at the age of 57 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories: his wife of 36 years, Karen (nee Abbott); sisters: Gail (Carl) Delaney and Shelia (Marc) Rousseau; sisters in law: Olga Beck, Cathy (Jim) McDermott, Geraldine (Shep) Shepherd, Patsy Gillis, Josie (John) Pelley, Ann Abbott, and Lynn (Glen) Anderson; brothers: Rick (Tammy) and Bob (Michelle) brothers in law: Jim (Nellie) Abbott, Tom (Dorothy) Abbott, and Dana (Corrine) McDermott, and Neil Beck; nephews: Barry, Brent, Blair, and Richard; nieces: Jodi, Stephanie, Melanie, Kayla, and great nieces and nephews; mother in law Patricia Abbott, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Ramona and Thomas Barry; sister in law Jane; brothers in law Tony Abbott, Derek Beck and Cyril Gillis. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Wednesday, between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday August 14, 2014 at 10:30 am. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mount Bernard Avenue with Father Edward Terry officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made in Joseph’s memory to the Paraplegic Society.
