The family of late Paul Joseph Isadore are sadden to announce the passing of their brother, uncle and great uncle on Aug. 9, 2014, at his place of home in Wagmatcook First nation.
Paul had many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews whom he loved all dearly.
Paul was survived by his sisters, Cecila, Anne Bridget, both of Wagmatcook; brothers, Louis, Peter both of Wagmatcook, Andrew Isadore (Dorothy Isadore), Pictou, James Googoo, Sydney. Also a partner he so dearly loved, Merry Francis, Wagmatcook. He had eight godchildren, Katrina Isadore, Jake Bernard, Greyson Isadore, Haven Tonarelli, Shawntia Isadore, Savannah Isadore, Alyssa Robertson and Brooklyn Isadore ; godparents, Phillis Googoo, Whycocomagh, and Edward (Eddie) Francis.
Paul was a devoted Christian who attended mass weekly. He also travalled to the St. Anne de Beaupre’ pilgrimage in Quebec as a helper. He had his MED course worked as a lobster fisherman, Silver Culture, Net Mending course and loved his job as a WEAP worker for Wagmatcook which he just started working this year.
Paul loved to socialize with people and was always visiting with family and friends. He was always willing to help community members and elders, loved to play bingo, cards, dice, loved to make people laugh. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
Paul was predeceased by his parents Peter Isadore and Mary Belle Simon-Isadore, brother, John Wayne Isadore, sister, Charolette Pierrro (Cherry), grandparents, Mary Ellen Simon amd Andrew Simon, Peter Louie Isadore and Flora Isadore, Aunt Ida Bernard and Uncle John (Brown) Simon.
The family of late Paul Isadore would like to welcome everyone to pay their respects in this time of sorrow at the Wagmatcook Saint Kateri Te Kakwitha Church basement where the wake starts on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014 from 12 p.m. in the afternoon. Funeral will be held at the Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Parish, Wagmatcook Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at 10 a.m. with Fr. Paul Abbass officiating with burial to follow at the Queen of the World Cemetery.
The funeral is under the care and direction of MacAskill Funeral Home in Baddeck.
