Peacefully, with her family at her side, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, on Wednesday, August 13, 2014, of Mrs. Catherine Margaret “Kay” Murnaghan (nee Lee) of Charlottetown, in her 89th year.
Beloved wife of the late Henry Murnaghan and loving mother of Peggy (Jim) Cameron, Maureen (Peter) Coffin, the late Lee Murnaghan and the late Roy Murnaghan. Nanny Kay to Jamie Cameron, Tracey Burchill, Lee (Allison), Barbie, Timmy and Tommy Murnaghan, Cathy (Mark) Younker, Troy Dalziel, Randy Coffin and 13 great-grandchildren. Kay is also lovingly remembered by her sister, Bernice Martin; brother, George (Marion) Lee; and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Irene Gallant, Phyllis Kervin, Margaret Lee, Florence Savidant and brother, John E. “Jackie” Lee.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Friday morning, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. There will be no visiting hours by personal request.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Kay may be made to the IWK Children’s Hospital or a charity of the donor’s choice.
