William “Bill” Robert Fox, late of Prince Albert, SK passed away August 7th, 2014 after a hard fought battle to cancer with family by his side in Saskatoon, SK. Bill was born February 14, 1938 at his Grandmother’s house in the district of Gibbs, SK. Bill always said being born on Valentine’s Day is why he had such a big heart. Bill is survived by his beloved partner Carole Enge, his daughters Marla (Marv), Shannon (Kelly) and Colleen, his stepson John, his grandchildren: Dana & Shayne, Melissa, Devon (Ghislaine), Jennifer and Lydia, Damien and his great-grandson Ashton, his sisters Faye Wilcox, Marie Boehmer and Vivian Cooper, his brother Ted Fox and his special friend Colleen Duval. Bill is predeceased by his mother Grace Fox and his father Robert Fox. Bill’s earlier years were spent in Gibbs, Bulyea and Strasbourg, SK before moving to Prince Albert. Bill enjoyed sports throughout his life time: fishing, ball, hunting, golfing and team roping. Bill was a Journeyman Electrician by trade with his own business Bill’s Electric and Double B Electric. He was a farmer and also a cowboy working for the Provincial Community Pasture at Smokey Burn, SK. He retired from Sask Crop Insurance as a Field Supervisor in 2003. After retirement he liked to say he was a professional sportsman. We spent summers at Tobin Lake and after 2006 at Candle Lake where he enjoyed fishing and visiting with family and friends. He loved the place at the Lake and was known by friends as “Mayor of Candle Lake Golf Resort RV Park”. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to St Paul's Hospital Palliative Ward, 1702 – 20th St. W, Saskatoon, SK S7M 0Z9.
