Dorothy May Williams age 81, of Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow formerly of Black Point and Scotsburn passed away August 15th, in the Manor. Born in Scotsburn she was a daughter of the late Fraser and Mable (Gunn) Campbell. In her younger years Dorothy worked at Pictou Lodge and taught school in Laggan and Scotsburn. After she stopped teaching she worked as a seamstress and at Zellars.
She was a member of the Scotsburn United Church.
She is survived by her sons Alex (Karen) Williams, Big Island; Brian Williams, Black Point; Donald (Wendy) Williams, Black Point; 9 grandchildren , 7 great-grandchildren; brother Doug (Joan) Campbell, California.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Daniel Williams, son Eric and a brother Leonard.
At Dorothy’s request cremation has taken place, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society, Canadian Cancer Society, the Multiple Sclerosis Society or a charity of your choice.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Glen Haven Manor for the excellent care Dorothy received.
