O’DONNELL, HAROLD FRANK - It is with heavy hearts the family of Harold F. O’Donnell of Fredericton announce his passing on August 16, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital at the age of 87. Born in Doaktown, NB son of the late Frank and Florence (Storey) O’Donnell.
Harold was a faithful member of Capital Community Church. He served as an usher, a member of the visitation committee, and was active with the prison ministry. His life evolved immensely around his church and family. He loved going to Tim Horton’s to meet with friends, was a fan of the Toronto Blue Jays, and was a member of the Regent Mall Walking Club. Harold retired from the Willett Food Group where he had been employed for over 40 years. Survived by his loving wife of 54 years Olive (Sinnett) O’Donnell; children Stephen O’Donnell (Sherie) of Burlington, ON, Carol-Joy McFadyen (Rick) of New Maryland, Dale O’Donnell (Nicole) of Fredericton, Kelty O’Donnell of Fredericton; five grandchildren Aaron and Alisha McFadyen, Kent, Luke and Grace O’Donnell; a sister Jean MacDonald; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Blaine, Vance and Lorey O’Donnell and a sister Velda Grant.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 19, 2014 at Capital Community Church, Downing Street from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral service will be Wednesday August 20, 2014 at 1 PM at Capital Community Church with Pastors Raymond Woodward, Jack Leaman and Rev. Joseph Beesley officiating. Donations in Harold’s memory may be made to the UPCI Missions Department or a charity of the donor’s choice.
