THOMAS JOSEPH KEEFE 1921-2014. Passed away peacefully July 24 at the McCall Centre, Toronto.
Deeply missed by his wife of 72 years, Norma (Peppin), originally of Charlottetown. Dear father of Thomas (deceased), Gail Moreau (Eric), Robert, John (Diane), Peter (Kathleen), Michael (Diane). Also greatly missed by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was raised in Miscouche, P.E.I. and served with the P.E.I. Highlanders and the West Nova Scotia Regiment overseas in the Second World War. After the war, he returned to his studies at Prince of Wales College, Charlottetown, a predecessor of UPEI. He was Captain of the PWC hockey team in 1945-6 and 1946-7. He received his M.Sc. in Biochemistry from McGill in 1951 and thereafter pursued a career in the food technology industry.
A Funeral Mass was held at St. Gregory's Church, Toronto on August 8, followed by private interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
