AMOS, JESSIE M. - Jessie M. Amos, 94, of K.E. Spencer Memorial Home and formerly of Church St., Moncton, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, August 15, 2014. Born in Newcastle NB, she was the daughter of the late Finley and Gladys (Sheward) Copp. Jessie was a retired teacher having taught Pleasant St. and Sunnyside Elementary Schools, was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, New Glasgow, NS and the W.M.S. Keenagers. Jessie will be sadly missed by her daughter, Rita Jewett (Charles) of Fort Worth, Texas and son, Barry Amos of Moncton; grandchildren, Stephanie Dorffeld (John) of Raleigh, North Carolina, Kevin Jewett (Suzanne) of Youngsville, North Carolina and Roberta “Bobbi” Keefe (Jeff) of Fort Worth, Texas; great grandchildren, Jessica, Katelyn, Charlie Keefe and Rowan Jewett; sister, Dorothy Jones; brother, Richard Copp and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert Amos (1997); brothers, Alvin and Robert Copp.
A Celebration of Life Service for Jessie will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 1:30 pm with Pastor Scott Ryder officiating. Reception following the Service. Interment to be held in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jessie’s memory can be made to K.E.
