Passed on: August 17th, 2014

FRASER, DANIEL LLOYD - Daniel Lloyd Fraser, 64, of Lakeville, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, August 17, 2014 after a brief battle with cancer. Dan was born on March 5, 1950 in Moncton. He was the son of the late Lloyd Fraser and the late Jean Diamond. He was predeceased by his wife, Debbie, in May of this year. Anyone who knew Dan knew of his love of anything and everything car related, working on many various makes of vehicles, polishing and detailing, or working on friends’ cars whenever required. Dan and his friends spent many an hour in his garage working on these vehicles, watching Nascar races or talking about old times. Above all else, Dan loved passing on his love of cars to the pride and joy of his life, his son, Corey. The two could regularly be found in the garage working on one issue or another or on one of Corey’s “Fixer Up” projects. The two shared a love of “Burning Rubber” like none other. In addition to his son, Corey, Dan is survived by his sister, Diane Hageman (Gary) of Newcastle, ON; brother, Randy (Valerie) of Charlottetown, PEI; several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, numerous cousins and many close friends.
A private Graveside Service will take place at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Chartersville, on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 1:00 pm. A Celebration of Dan’s life and the sharing of special memories with Corey will take place at 4:30 pm at the Lakeville Community Centre. Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) in care of arrangements. The greatest tribute to Dan’s memory is to remember Corey, so if you are driving by, make sure to stop in and have a visit with him in the garage, where he will be following in his father’s footsteps and working happily away on a vehicle.
