HUBBARD, Hazel Mary – age 92, of Wedgeport, passed away on August 15, 2014 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital, Yarmouth. Born in Wedgeport on June 19, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Elizabeth LeBlanc. Hazel is survived by her children, Bernard (Debbie), Yarmouth; Phyllis (Thomas) Doucette, Melbourne; George (Corrine), Wedgeport; Gerald (Janice), Pubnico; Janice (Ivan) Pothier, Wedgeport; 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Hubbard; sister, Theresa McGrath; brother, Lawrence. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Wedgeport. By request of Hazel, there was no visitation. A funeral mass was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 18 in Saint Michael’s Catholic Church, Wedgeport, Father Albenie d’Entremont officiated. An interment was held in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations in Hazel’s memory may be made to a charity of ones choice.
