THOMAS, IONA EUNICE - Iona E. Thomas of Zealand, NB passed away August 19, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Iona was born at Burtts Corner, NB in 1931, a daughter of the late Elmer and Kathleen (Brewer) Jones. She is survived by her husband, Clayton Morehouse; her children, Peter Thomas (Nona), Prince William, NB, Rozelle Crouse (Stephen), Zealand, NB, Eliza MacIntosh (David), Prince William, NB and Lorraine Hibsman (Charles), Fredericton, NB; seven grandchildren, Krystal, Jackie, Corey, Michael, James, Randy and Katie; ten great grandchildren; four special children, Brian Nash (Bridget), Fredericton, NB, Ann Scott (Terry), Durham Bridge, NB, Bonnie Nash (Hollie), Cross Creek, NB and Adam Nash; a sister, Rowena Scott (Lloyd), Burtts Corner, NB; two brothers, Garnet Jones (Mary), Burtts Corner, NB and Ivan Jones (Jean), Tripp Settlement, NB; three stepchildren, Christine Morehouse (Guy), Quebec, Marilyn Robison (Dave), Ontario and Tim Morehouse (Victoria), Fredericton, NB; two special friends, Delma Spicer (Leslie), Nova Scotia and Lester and April Murphy, Prince William, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, James Thomas and three sisters, Jean Wilson, Avis Williams and Brenda Moore.
Visiting hours will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church Hall, 1405 Route 104, Zealand, NB on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Zealand, NB on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 2 pm with The Venerable John Sharpe officiating. Interment at Cardigan Cemetery.
