MACKENZIE, Faye Charlene – age 63, of Yarmouth, passed away on August 21, 2014 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital, Yarmouth surrounded by loved ones. Born in Sydney, Faye was a daughter of the late Charles and Rita (Jackson) MacMillan. She is survived by her loving sons, Sheldon (Carrie), Yarmouth; Scott, Calgary; grandson, Nathan, Yarmouth; brothers, Daniel, Calgary; Robert, St. Peter’s; sisters, Catherine, Yarmouth; Trudy (Johnny), St. Peter’s; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; a great-great niece; special friends, Tracey, Donovan, Flo, Shaila, Audrey, Jimmy and Debbie. She was predeceased by her son, Allan, brothers, Arthur and Ray. Faye was a loving mom, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She worked at the Colony Restaurant as a cook for 25 years. She loved her sports, music and was an avid piper. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, where visitation took place from 2-4 and 7-9 on Sunday, August 24, with prayers at 8 p.m. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Monday in H.M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Yarmouth, Deacon Stephen Bourque officiated. An interment was held in the St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Peter’s, Cape Breton on Wednesday.
