Davey, Jonathan Bryan , 11 years old, of Valley, NS, passed away August 20, 2014, after a tragic accident. He was born in London, Ontario, September 27, 2002. Jonathan was a friendly, quick-witted, energetic, fun, and well-liked student of Redcliff Middle School, who was always smiling, and bouncing around its halls. Jonathan was passionate about his participation in community soccer with the CC Riders soccer organization. He looked forward to, and poured all his energy into every game. He is survived by his parents, Bryan and Jacqueline Davey; sister, Sophia; brothers, Samuel and James; grandparents, Ruth and Tony Van Kooten of Blenheim, ON; aunt & uncle Elizabeth & David Tosland of Strathroy, ON; aunts, Vicki Down (Van Kooten) and Laura Redford (Van Kooten) of St. Thomas, ON; aunt & uncle Gabby & Chris Davey of Niederschopfheim, Germany; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins in Ontario and Germany. Visitation will be held at Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro on Saturday, August 23, 6pm to 8pm. A memorial service will take place at Immanuel Baptist Church Sunday, August 24 at 3pm. Charitable donations will go toward KidSport Nova Scotia in memory of Jonathan, or charity of choice.
