Patrick James Rosen
July 11, 1964 – August 20, 2014

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce Patrick’s passing after a short courageous battle with cancer. Patrick passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 and he was surrounded by his loving family when his battle ended. Patrick was born on July 11, 1964 in Melfort, SK and leaves to mourn him, his loving wife Cathie; his two loving children Skyler and Jordan; his parents Anne & Alex Rosen; his brothers Adrian (Nadine) Rosen & their children Jennifer, Jeremy and Jessica and Kent (Kara) Rosen; his mother-in-law Helen Zelensky; his brothers and sisters-in-law Lynne Leier (Terry), Laurie Ksyniuk (Dale), Donna McMurchy, Beverley Petruk (Gregg), Donnie Zelensky (Cindy) and all their children. He was predeceased by his mother Diane Ebner and father-in-law William Zelensky. Patrick had currently been promoted to a Senior Ecological Protection Specialist with the Landscape Stewardship Branch with the Ministry of Environment for the Government of Saskatchewan. Patrick had 28 years of service working with the government and worked in several different areas throughout his career. Patrick took pride in his work and enjoyed all the people he worked with. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, coaching hockey and spending time with his family. Patrick also enjoyed regular coffee outings with his buddies. He was a loving, caring person who touched the lives of many. He was a kind, thoughtful person who was always willing to help anyone in need. Patrick will be dearly missed by his family, friends, co-workers and all the people who were fortunate enough to have known him. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 260 – 25th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Celebrant Reverend Father Roque Concepcion.
