It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Diane Bradbury. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 52 years, Ralph Bradbury, daughter Megan (Don) Landels, son Mark (Elle) Bradbury, grandsons Tye (Aleta), Cory (Laura), and Dylan as well as her brother Dave (Marlyn) Briggs, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Barbara was born and raised in Vancouver and attended UBC. She met Ralph in university and they married in 1962, settling in Fort St John. Barbara taught elementary school for over 20 years. Many young students benefitted from her love of reading; her own children and grandchildren have many happy memories of Barbara reading to them.
Barb and Ralph moved to Abbotsford in 1989 where they shared a thriving financial planning practice. Together they helped many clients secure their financial futures. In 2007, Barbara and Ralph moved to Victoria to be closer to family. Barbara had the good fortune to meet many good friends over the years. She had a wonderful knack for connecting with people and maintaining friendships through changes in geographic distance and circumstance. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank those friends, new and old, near and far, for their unwavering support and kindness through Barbara’s illness.
