McDONALD, GERARD - 1923 - 2014 - Gerard McDonald, 91, of Moncton, NB, passed away on Saturday, August 23rd, 2014, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center. Born in St.-Maurice-de-Kent, NB, he was the son of the late Jim and the late Nathalie (née: Savoie) McDonald. Mr. McDonald was a self employed businessman. He is survived by his wife, Jeannette (née: LeBlanc); one daughter, Diane McDonald of Moncton; three sons: James (Charlotte) of Moncton, Roger (Diane) of Moncton and Raymond of Edmonton, AB; one sister, Delia (late Ceril) Jaillet of Moncton; one brother, Albert (Lorette) McDonald of St.-Paul; one grandson, Daniel, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Marie and also by three brothers: Willie, Freddie and Laurie.
By request, no visitation will be held at the funeral home. A Celebration of the Word will be held at the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, Dieppe, NB, on Tuesday, August 26th, 2014 at 10 am. Interment in Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. Donations to the Extra Mural Program would be appreciated by the family.
