SWITZER- Violet Pearl –age 85, of Hebron, passed away at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital on August 20, 2014. Born August 5, 1929, in Windsor, Ontario. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary E. (Woods) Beetham. Violet was a homemaker, very active Pastor’s wife, and a dedicated, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved playing the organ and all things musical. She was active at the YMCA for many years. She is survived by her husband Rev. Jack “Don” Switzer, as well as her sons David, of Hebron in Yarmouth Co., and Daniel, of Bangor, Maine. Brothers Ross and Elwood, sisters Katherina and Julia – all of Ontario. She was predeceased by a son, Douglas, and brother, Victor. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation was held Tuesday, August 26, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. at Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service took place Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 2:00pm at Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Robert Baker officiated. Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Violet’s memory may be made to the Villa St. Joseph du Lac.
