Henry "Bill" Blaney

BLANEY, HENRY JAMES WILLIAM "BILL" - Henry James William (Bill) Blaney, age 82, of Millville, New Brunswick passed away peacefully on August 24, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Joanne (Meade) and children, Elizabeth (John), Tim (Chris), Vicki, Suzanne (Roger), and Steven (Joy). Bill also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Craig, Tabatha, Melanie, Jonathan, Christine, Alexander, Emily and Sherry, five great-grandchildren, Annika, James, Izabella, Timothy, Jorja; a brother Gerald (Ruth), many nieces, nephews and cousins. Bill was born at Maple Ridge New Brunswick on October 1st, 1931, a son of the late James and Maggie (Lockard) Blaney. He was a former Mayor of Millville and a member of the Millville Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters Phoebe, Thelma, Louise and brothers Arthur, Lawrence, and Murray.
Visitation will be held at the Millville Baptist Church, 1469 Route 605, Millville, NB on Tuesday, August 26, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday August 27, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the church with Pastor Rev. Derek Langille and Rev. Allan Myshrall officiating. Interment will be at the Millville Cemetery. A reception will follow in the church fellowship room. Pallbearers will be Bill’s grandchildren, Craig, Tabatha, Melanie, Jonathan, Christine, Alexander, Emily and Sherry and son Steven. Honorary pallbearers will be sons-in-law John Martin and Roger Tremblay, nephews Melvin Blizzard and Kevin Blaney, cousin Dennis Connor, and friends Marcus Wallace and Gary Morehouse. Music will be provided by granddaughter Christine, son-in-law John, and friend Carolyn Patterson. In memory of Bill donations can be made to the Millville Baptist Church and Millville Cemetery.
