It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ambrose J. Matthews announce his passing on Monday August 25, 2014 at the Long Term Care Facility in Corner Brook at the age of 80 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Josephine of 58 years, loving children Ambrose jr (Virenna), Craig (Claire), Neita (Stephen), grandchildren; Lance, Ian, Brett, and Amy, sisters Violet and Myrtle, brother Don (June). He was predeceased by his brother Cyril, sisters Julia, Inez, Ethel, parents James and Jessie Matthews, Special nephew Clifford Matthews of Halifax. The family will be receiving friends from Fillatres Funeral Home 4 St. Marks Avenue Tuesday August 26, from 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:PM from All Saints Anglican Church Clarence Street with Reverend Tanya White officiating. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium, interment to follow at a later date. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Western Regional Hospital Foundation P.O.
