O’CONNELL, Violet Marie (Rennehan), Roseway Manor, Shelburne, formerly of Barrington Passage, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Roseway Hospital, Shelburne, N.S. Born in West Head, Cape Sable Island on February 1, 1927 she was a daughter of the late Wilfred and Jane (Gallagher) Rennehan. She is survived by daughters, Dianne (Hughie) Hemeon, Kathryn (Eugene) Smith; son, Tony (Dawn) O’Connell; grandchildren, Trevor (Candy) Smith, Aaron (Falyn) Smith, Alisa (Sheldon) Brannen, Lori (Derrick) Selig, Natalie (Ronald) Johnstone and nine precious great grandchildren; brother, Don (Jean) Rennehan, Lavack, Ontario; sister, Christine Dease, Yarmouth. She was predeceased by husband, Edward; brothers, William, Joe; sisters, Rhoda, Lillian. Funeral service was held on Monday, August 25 at the H.M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Barrington, Rev. Shaun Hatfield officiating. Interment was in the Woodside Cemetery, Port LaTour. Memorial donations may be made to the St. James United Church, Barrington Passage or the Roseway Manor, Shelburne.
