DOUCETTE, RITA MARY – It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Rita Mary Doucette which occurred at the Loch Lomond Villa on Wednesday, August 27th, 2014. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Marie (Leblanc) Chaisson. Rita loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and cooking. Rita is survived by her sons Kevin (Sandra) of Quispamsis, Raymond (Marilyn) of Quispamsis, Wayne (Martina) of Rothesay; daughters Carol Ann Belliveau of Rothesay, Linda Reid (Michael) of Quispamsis; brothers Fred Chaisson (Betty) of Saint John, Louis Chaisson (Margaret) of Saint John, sisters Theresa Chaisson of Saint John, Emma Titus of Saint John, Sylvia Harris of Alberta, Margaret McCormick (Dave) of Ottawa; grandchildren Andrea, Mat, April, Dwayne, Cliff, Johnathan, Jessica and Megan, great grandchildren Ace, Ayden and Cameron as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents, Rita was predeceased by her husband Clifford, sisters Anita McCaskill and Cecilia Marr and brother Eddie Chaisson.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Friday, August 29th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place from Stella Maris Catholic Church on Saturday, August 30th at 9:30 a.m. followed by an interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
