RITCHIE, ELBERT FRANKLIN - Elbert F. Ritchie of Ritchie, NB passed away at Carleton Manor on August 29, 2014. Elbert was born at Southampton, NB in 1933, a son of the late Roland and Sylvia (Dore) Ritchie. He is survived by his wife, Winona (Way) Ritchie; two sons, Gary Ritchie (Jean), Swift Current, SK and Terrance Ritchie (Tammy), Woodstock, NB; five daughters, Cindy Graham (Larry), Charlie Lake, NB, Mary MacFarlane (Vincent), Ritchie, NB, Carrie Heppell (Yves), Ritchie, NB, Shelley Porter (Dean), Fox Creek, AB and Heidi Hume (Colin), Ritchie, NB; two brothers, Ellis Ritchie, Ritchie, NB and Roland Ritchie Jr. (Eleanor), Woodstock, NB; a sister, Joy O’Brien (Donnell), Fredericton, NB; sixteen grandchildren, Scott Ritchie (Toni), Bruce Ritchie (Shayna), Douglas Ritchie (Allie), Ruthie Fisher (Devan), Darrell Graham (Jennifer), Tyler Ritchie (Crystal), Dustin Ritchie (Erica), Amy Ritchie (Adam), Samantha MacFarlane, Natalie MacFarlane, Celine Heppell (Matt), Colton Heppell, Jennifer Sharp (Anthony), Lee Porter, Mariah Hume and Meghan Hume; six great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Jamie Lynn, Logan, Eva, Willow and Forrest; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a granddaughter, Shelby Lynn; a great-granddaughter, Sophia Rose Fisher; a sister, Janet Mahoney and a sister-in-law, Patricia Ritchie.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Pastors Luke and Bonnie Weaver officiating.
