O’KEEFE, MICHAEL “MIKE” MARK - It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mike O’Keefe of Saint John, loving husband of Lianne Doucet announce his passing, which occurred on Saturday, August 30, 2014, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on June 22, 1976, he was a son of Robert and Gloria Jean (Dunham) O’Keefe. In addition to his wife and parents, Mike is also survived by his sisters, Karen Hebert (Michael) of Saint John and Susan McIntyre (Albert) of Harvey; brothers, Stephen O’Keefe of Saint John and Robert O’Keefe of Bathurst; as well as several nieces and nephews. Reading was a favourite past time along with a joy for cooking. Running was a passion that made him feel like he was flying. Creating and building things with wood was so rewarding and self fulfilling. Working at the Coffee Mill as a cook for the last ten years.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. In keeping with Mike’s wishes, no funeral service will take place. Remembrances may be made to a charity of one's choice.
