Adams (Bird) Florence Annie Age 93 of Great Village passed away peacefully on Aug. 31st, 2014 at her home in Wynn Park Villa, Truro, N.S. Born in Great Village on Oct. 15th, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Boyne) Bird.
She is survived by her sons Claude (Elaine), David, Gerald, Carl (Lucy), Robert (Natalie) and Cameron; daughters Judi (Jack) Leeman, Marie Peppard, Nancy Tanner, Kimberlee (Russell) Jones; sisters Marion Ross and Ruth Bezanson; daughter-in law Dorothy; 26 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and several great, great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Albert; son Edward; daughter and a son in infancy; sisters Evelyn, Neita, Greta and Mildred; brothers, Robert, Claude, Douglas and Avery; daughter- in-law Elda; son-in-law Jack.
As per Florence’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to the ALS Society.
