Clarence Gautreau

GAUTREAU, CLARENCE - Clarence Gautreau, 99, of Résidence O’ Bons Soins and formerly of Moncton, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2014 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born on July 16, 1915 in Shediac, he was the son of the late Auguste and Emma (Belliveau) Gautreau. He retired in 1975 after 32 years as a brakeman and Driver with Canadian National Railway. He was a member of the Christ-Roi parish and Golden Age Club, as well as the Moncton Skating Club. He will be sadly missed by his four daughters: Bernice Bourgeois (Armand) of Shediac, Millie Gaudet (Gene) of Dieppe, Odette Gautreau (Gilles Pelletier) of Québec, and Marthe Gautreau of Moncton; one sister, Anna Boudreau of Barachois; one brother, Camille (Antoinette Breau) of Shediac; one sister-in-law, Doris Gautreau (late Joseph) of Saint-Antoine; eight grandchildren: Donald (Kim) Bourgeois, Michelle (Jim) MacPherson, Lynn (Shayne) Connolly, Marc (Josée Nadeau) Gaudet, Liane (Luc) Elsliger, Isabelle Pelletier (Martin Letendre), Stéphane Pelletier (Kim-Emanuelle Paquet), and Carole Boudreau; 11 great-grandchildren: Zachary, Madison, Justine, Alec, Matthew, Rylee, Nicholas, Anabelle, Alex, Simon, and Logan; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorilla (LeBlanc) Gautreau (2007); an infant son, Allain; two sisters: Marie, and Irene; eight brothers: Charles, Henri, Joseph, Arthur, Emile, Edgar, Louis and Aldéric.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Christ-Roi Roman Catholic Church, 300 Dominion Street, Moncton on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 2 pm. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe.
