Born: March 30th, 1975

WESTVILLE – Sheila Marie Fitzpatrick, 39, Westville, passed away suddenly Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at home, surrounded by her family.
Born on March 30, 1975 in Halifax, she was the daughter of James Angus “Jim” and Kathleen Joy “Katy” (Chisholm) Fitzpatrick.
Sheila was a graduate of Westville High School. She attended Nova Scotia Community College, Stellarton, and was a graduate of the business and machinist programs. Sheila was employed with Sobeys for many years. She was a member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, Westville. Sheila was a kind person who enjoyed volunteering with the Play Care program at the Wellness Centre and the former YMCA, New Glasgow. She loved all animals, no matter of their size or appearance. Sheila enjoyed watching action movies and listing to music. Her “pride and joy” were her niece and nephew, Reilly and Gabriel. Cousin Melanie, was her “sister” and best friend, a relationship she cherished. She was very artistic and shared her paintings, drawings, and crocheting with others. Throughout her life, Sheila faced many health issues and regardless of the adversity, never complained. She will be remembered for her selfless compassion and love of family.
Surviving besides her parents Jim and Katy, are brothers, James “Jim” (Colette) Fitzpatrick and their children, Reilly and Gabriel, Glace Bay; D’Arcy Fitzpatrick, Westville; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Ernest and Annie Chisholm; paternal grandparents, Daniel and Marion Fitzpatrick.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, Westville with Father Thomas MacNeil presiding. Interment will be in Holy Name Cemetery, Westville.
Donations may be made in Sheila’s memory to the Molly Appeal or Canadian Diabetes Association.
