BOURQUE, Mary Evelyn - Age 85. It is with heartfelt sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister on September 2, 2014 in White Hills L.T.C. Centre, Hammonds Plains, having formerly resided Au Logis d’Meteghan and in Port Maitland, Yarmouth Co. Born in Morris Island, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah Doucette. She is survived by her children, Gloria Brennan, Jeanine (Glenn) Keating and Paul (Stephanie) Bourque; grandchildren, Shawn, Sherri, Ryan, Daniel, Emily and Alex; great-grandchildren, Reilly, Patrick, Emerson, Isabella, Clara and Elliott. Also surviving are sisters, Blanche and Helena and brothers Lawrence, Bobby and Donald and their families. She was predeceased by her loving and supportive husband, Leonard in 2009; her son-in-law, Thomas in 2013, sisters Barbara and Mildred and brother, Harvey. The family is grateful to staff at White Hills and Au Logis d’Meteghan for the wonderful love and care given to our mother over the years. Visitation took place on Thursday, September 4 from 7-9 p.m. at Huskilson's Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, NS. A funeral mass was held at 11 a.m., Friday, September 5th at St. Anne's Church, Ste-Anne-du-Ruisseau, where Evelyn and Leonard were married, Father Albeni d’Entremont officiated. Burial followed in the parish cemetery. It was requested that there be family flowers only. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
