MURDOCH, EDNA - Edna Annie Murdoch, 92, passed away on September 5, 2014 at Pine Grove Nursing Home, Fredericton, wife of the late John Murdoch. Born on April 3, 1922, in Bathurst she was a daughter of the late James and Esella (Smith) Knowles. Edna was predeceased by her husband, Jack and son David James; brothers: Hubert, Hilton and Lane; sister Myrtle. Edna always put her family first, she loved cooking and was always up for a good game of cards or scrabble. She is survived by her son John and his wife Norah, Truro, NS; daughter-in-law Donna, Geary, NB; granddaughters: Luanne and Greg McKnight, Burlington ON; Lori and Corey Merritt, Fort Belvoir, VA; great grandchildren: Morgan, Alexander, and Jack; sisters: Arvella and Alma of Bathurst, NB. Much appreciation to Pine Grove Nursing Home for their wonderful care over the last few years.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 12, 2014 at 2:00 pm from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
