With great sadness, the family regret to announce the passing of James ‘Jimmie’ Arthur Milley. He died peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit, Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014.
Born in Donkin, he was the only son of the late James and May (Mercer) Milley.
Jimmie worked most of his life with Devco, retiring in 1995 with 28 years of service.
Left to mourn are his wife and best friend of 47 years, Gladys (Chant) Milley, two sons, Blair, Jimmy, both of Ottawa, two precious grandsons, Brandon, Joshua, a sister, Patricia and brother-in-law, Winston Caines, Sydney Forks, niece, Jillian, nephew, Stephen and many friends and relatives.
Besides his parents, Jimmie was predeceased by a sister, Gloria and father and mother-in-law, Ernie and Elizabeth Chant.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, Glace Bay.
