TANNER, Barbara Winnifred, born April 24, 1931, daughter of Lydia and John (Jack) Tanner of Halifax, passed away suddenly in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, doing what she loved, playing piano at a summer festival. She is survived by her soul mate, Angus Cleveland (veteran, Korea); her four children, Michel, Christian, Robin and Roxane Pitre; six grand-children, three great grand-children; her sister Joan (Tim Barnard) and other close friends, Archie and Pauline Tait. Predeceased by her first husband and father of her children, Joseph Leonard Pitre. After a teaching career at Algonquin College in Ottawa, she moved home to enjoy the sea and the stars that she loved so much, and to pursue her many passions, including music, astrology, dancing, writing, and painting.

As her mother used to say, "So long like a piece of string, m'dear. You were here, you were here. We love you dearly and wish you were here."

Bless her as she takes her place among the stars.
