The death occurred at her brother's home in Miscouche, on Saturday, September 6, 2014, of Laura (nee Gallant) Arsenault at the age of 75 years. Laura was born in St. Chrysostome on April 22, 1939, daughter of the late Alphonse and MarieAnne (nee Arsenault) Gallant. She was a wife of the late Nazaire Arsenault and common-law partner to the late Valmore Arsenault and loving mother to Mona Neghtengale of Moncton, Darlene Arsenault (Brent Boylan) of O'Leary, Elaine Arsenault of Moncton, Nancy (Lee) McConnell of Ontario and Desmond Arsenault of Abram's Village. Laura was a passionate grandmother to Christine, Dawn, Mitchell, Ryan, Adam, Meagan, Ashe, Aryn, Amanda, Sammy-Jo, Taylor, and a great-grandmother to Joelle, Luc and Addisyn. Laura will be forever remembered by her brothers and sisters, Aubin (Lila), Melvin (Jacky), Cyrus (Donna), Urbain (Kate), Yvette (Chris) Baines, Charlie (Judy Stewart), Chris (Eric) Greencorn, Joe (Cecile), Abby (Barry MacArthur) and Evangeline. Laura was predeceased by her parents, husband, common-law partner and son Maurice. Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville, until Thursday, Sept. 11, then to St. Philippe and St. Jacques Church, Egmont Bay, where funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 10, from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Memorial donations in Laura's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Victoria's Quilts Canada Fund would be greatly appreciated.
