Sackville, N.B.- It is with deep sadness that the family of Regina Virginia Duplissis, announce her passing at the Drew Nursing Home, on Monday, September 1, 2014. Regina was 92 years of age.
Born in Shippagan, N.B. on June 9, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Regina (LeClair) Chiasson.
Regina was an angel to her family and as the eldest sibling was a second mama to her 13 brothers and sisters.
Regina will be lovingly remembered by her two brothers, Roger Chiasson and Leon Chiasson and by her 5 sisters, Yvonne Chiasson, Antoinette (Laureat) Rousseau, Rose LeClair, Marie Biledeau and Irene Taylor.
Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by her first husband, John Duplissis and by her second husband, Lawrence Oulette; her two sisters, Florence Duplissis and Jeanette Fairfax and by her four brothers, Edgar Chiasson, Paul Chiasson, Simon Chiasson and Guy Chiasson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (364-8188). In keeping with Regina’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A grave-side service will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Saint John, N.B. on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 11 am with Father Douglas McNeill officiating.
Donations in memory of Regina may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of one’s choice.
