MERCIER, DONALD "DONNIE" - 1941 - 2014 - Tuesday, September 2nd, 2014 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, at the age of 73, passed away Mr. Donald "Donnie" Mercier of Campbellton, husband of Mrs. Therese (Doiron) Mercier. He was the son of the late Georgina (Teed) and late James Mercier. He will be sadly missed by his wife Therese, his daughters: Betty-Ann (Serge Fortin) of Dalhousie and Nancy (Raymond Savoie) of Atholville; his grandson Shawn Levesque (Jessica Maltais) and his great-grandchildren: Francis and Blake; his brothers: William "Billy" of Halifax, Melville "Mel" (Joan Hicks) of Saint John, NB and Robert "Bobby" (Mireille Beaudoin) of Atholville; members of the Doiron and Mercier families, also many nieces, nephews and numerous friends. He was predeceased by his parents.
The funeral mass was held on September 8th, 2014 in the St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Campbellton and officiated by Father Maurice Frenette. A donation to the Extra Mural program or Palliative Care Unit of the Friends of Healthcare Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
