The death occurred peacefully with family by her side at Clinton View Lodge, Clinton, on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 of Elva L. (Pickering) Profitt, formerly of Kensington and Margate, aged 94 years.
Born in Clinton on September 11, 1919 daughter of the late Wilfred and Nina (Woodside) Pickering.
Wife of the late Arthur R. Profitt. Mother of Roland Profitt (Sandra Howard), Margate. Grandmother of Randall (Emily) Profitt, Vaughan, Ontario, and Sherry (Matthew) MacLeod, Westville, Nova Scotia. Great-grandmother to Victoria and Christina Profitt, Christian and Connor MacLeod. Sister of Leah Weeks, Kensington. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by daughter-in-law, Ruth (Johnston) Profitt and brother, Ivan Pickering.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington for visitation on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Friday in Southwest River United Church, Margate at 11 a.m. Interment in the Margate United Cemetery.
