It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joseph Nicolas Quilty announce his passing on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Center in Stephenville Crossing, NL at the age of 92 years. He leaves to mourn with many precious memories his children: Josephine (Joe) Walsh, Robert (Linda), Eric, Paul (Trudy), Jerome (Audrey), Alban (Mary), Alphonsus (Wanda), Martina, Lillian (Allan) Fillatre, Marcella (Craig) Gillis; brother Tom; 24 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; daughter-in-law Karen Quilty, as well as other friends and family. He was pre-deceased by his loving wife Honora; son Carl; 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Visitation will take place from St. Columcille Parish in St. Fintan’s on Thursday and Friday September 11th & 12th from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. from where the Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Jim Robertson officiating. Internment will follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Highlands. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the St. Columcille Parish Memorial Fund.
