It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ruby Martin announce her passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care, Stephenville Crossing on Wednesday September 10, 2014 at the age of 71 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Robert of 44 years; Daughter Tanna; brother David Sheppard (Phyllis); sister Effie Quinton, and also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Harold & Nina Sheppard; brothers: Russell and Jerry and brother in law Gordon Quinton. In keeping with Ruby’s wishes cremation has taken place. Family will be receiving friends at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Sunday September 14 between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from the Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Monday September 15 at 2 p.m. officiated by Majors Max & Doreen Sturge. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ruby’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Society.
