The death of Dr. John L. Dawe of Fredericton, NB, professor of civil engineering at UNB for 38 years, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on September 11th, 2014. Born April 26th, 1944 in Long Pond, NL, he was the son of the late Gordon and Eliza (Smith) Dawe, and brother to 13 siblings. John is survived by his children, Melissa Dawe (Peter Wedge) of Fredericton, Michael Dawe of Fredericton, Eliza Dawe (Greg Phillips) of Fredericton and Vanessa Dawe of Toronto, ON; grandchildren, Jayden, Devon, Zakk, Fisher and Petra and a special friend, Ling Yan. There will be no visitation or service at John's request. A private memorial service will be held by the family.
