The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Friday, September 12, 2014, of Genevieve “Jenny” Pineau, of Summerside, aged 80 years.
Born in St. Charles, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Josephine (Doucette) Gallant.
Survived by her children, Marsha (Danny) Jones, Paula (Mike) Myers, Marcel Pineau, Michelle (Austin) Hogg; grandchildren, Michelle (Chris), Marc and Michael; great-grandson, Archer; brothers, Harry (Isabelle) Gallant, Albert Gallant; sisters-in-law, Della Gallant and Florrie Gallant; brother-in-law, Oscar Hatch; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband, Jeremiah “Bud” Pineau; brothers, Robert, Elmer, Arthur, Peter and Cornelius Gallant; sisters, Muriel Gallant, Georgina LaPointe and Helena Hatch; sister-in-law, Mae Gallant; and brother-in-law, Fred LaPointe.
Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Wednesday, then to St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Tuesday from 6-8 p.m.
