Linda Elizabeth Hart

Linda Elizabeth Hart

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda E. Hart of Shediac and formerly of Lower Coverdale. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Bernadeen (Steeves) Hyslop. Linda fought a tremendously courageous battle with ovarian cancer, only to be called home with the Lord on Saturday morning, September 13, 2014.
Linda was full of life with a sense of humor second to none. A retired Public Servant, she enjoyed travelling with her best friend, Lloyd. She never missed an opportunity to reach out to help others, racing with State Troopers on I95, all-nighters with her girlfriends and touching the hands of her two greatest assets – her children. As the world is large, Linda had one favorite place, that is where the sand is white with water and sky equally blue as not to distinguish where one ends and one begins. In eternity with the Lord, Linda will forever enjoy her white sands and blue sky water. Linda believed in equality for all without judgement resulting in solid, hardworking family values. Her door was always open to those in need. She was determined to make the best of all situations. Never goodbye’s only “SEE YA.”
Linda will be forever missed by her two children, Dale Robertson of Hillsborough and Darlene Robertson (Michael Davis) of Lower Coverdale; best friend and soul mate, Lloyd MacLean of P.E.I.; her extended family, Gena Ferguson (Glenn) and Linda Turnbull, all of P.E.I.; grandchildren, Kyle, Bracken, Laird, Tamara, Tyler, Marc and Conrad. Also, missing her deeply will be sister, Margaret Anderson (Jacques) of B.C.; Robert Hyslop (Joan) of Riverview; sister, Edna Kay (George) of Riverview; brothers, Raymond Hyslop (Lorraine) of Ontario and Arnold Hyslop (Ella) of Lower Coverdale; brother-in-law, Ray Patterson (Norma) of Fredericton and countless others including nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her sister, Ena, and nephew, Christopher.
The family would like to express their profound gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Dr. Georges L. Dumont UHC Oncology Department Ward 3C (non-palliative) and Ward 3C (palliative) for the exceptional care given to Linda during her stay.
Visitation will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, from 6 to 9 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service for Linda will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at 1 p.m with Pastor Gordon Horsman officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment to be held in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
If so desired, donations in Linda’s memory can be made to Ovarian Cancer Canada (1542 Queen St., Halifax, NS, B3J2H8; 1-866-825-0788) would be appreciated by the family.
