Requiescat in Peace

Following a brief illness, Charles Jabez Williams peacefully entered into rest at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, September 13, 2014. The eldest child of Earl and Alice (Maynard) Williams of Tyne Valley.
He was predeceased in 1972 by his first wife, Lise Paquette. Charles was the loving father of Suzanne (Mrs. Ron Branstrom) of Mermaid; Neil and his wife Catherine Simard of Quebec City; Nance (Mrs. Brian Jonkman) of Toronto; and Odette (Mrs. Andre Wong) of Milton, Ontario. He is survived by his wife, Peggy (Preston Holland); his sisters Freda (wife of the late Cody Banks) of Charlottetown and Ruth (wife of the late Harry Gillis) of St. Eleanor’s, and by his brother Edward and wife Diane of Fernwood. He was the caring and much loved stepfather of Susan and Bethany Holland of Charlottetown and Mary (Mrs. Les Bonnett) of Conover, North Carolina. Charles’ cherished grandchildren are Stewart and Samantha Branstrom; Jabez, Kaleigh and Deagan Jonkman; Matisse Williams and Brandon, Nathan and Alana Wong.
Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Funeral Wednesday from St. Peter’s Cathedral at 10 a.m. Interment in The Peoples Cemetery.
