Shawna Renee Kosior, age 38 of Swift Current, SK., passed away suddenly at her home. The Funeral Service was held Friday, September 12, 2014 at 11:00am at the First United Church with Reverend Annette Taylor officiating. The Life Tribute was presented by Calli Illerbrun. The pallbearers were Matthew Dumont, Tyler Wilson, Keagan Lockwood, Darcy Faucher, Dave Gloeckler, and Don Grant. The Interment Service was held at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Shawna is survived by her parents Cathy and Greg Illerbrun, her children Ethan and Jackson and their father Neil Kosior, her sister Brandy (Leo) Pritchard and their children Jude and Stevie, sister Calli Illerbrun (Keagan Lockwood), grandparents Shirley and Norm McConnachie, her brother Jeffrey Beisel and sister Crystal Stoyke, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her paternal father Rick Beisel, grandfather Cecil Wilson, grandparents Don and Marj Illerbrun, grandfather Melvin Beisel, and uncles Todd Beisel and Jim Wilson. Shawna was born on March 29, 1976 in Swift Current to Cathy and Rick Beisel and was later adopted by Greg Illerbrun. She married Neil Kosior on July 31st, 2005. She was working as a care aide for the Cypress Health Region, which she was very passionate about, as she found great joy and satisfaction in helping others. Shawna was in the process of completing her care aide course in Swift Current. She loved to fish, camp, read, get together with family and friends, and especially spend time with her boys. There was nothing more important to Shawna than her boys and she was profoundly proud of them. Shawna will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by her family and friends.
