Mary Frances Mossman
Mary Frances Mossman, 89 passed away Sept. 10, 2014 in Harbourstone Enhanced Care Facility.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Mary (Foley) Walsh.
Mary was a member of St. Aiden’s parish, Westmount. She was active as a community worker; in church functions as warden but also with the palliative care society, cancer society, a member of the Seaview Golf Club and an avid horsewoman. She worked many years as a credit administrator with the State Farm Insurance Company Employees Credit Union. She also served as a veteran during the Second World War with the Canadian Women’s Army Corp.
She is survived by daughter, Karen (George) Czirjak, Maryland, USA; sisters, Veronica (Jack) Walter, Sydney; Theresa Waye, Ontario; brother, Jerome, Ontario; granddaughters, Christine Alejo and Laura (Ryan) Murphy; great-grandsons, Sebastian and Mateo Alejo and great-granddaughters, Anna, Sydney, and Josie Murphy
She was predeceased by husband, Donald Mossman; brothers, Vincent, Robert and Stanley; and sister, Bridget (Morgan) Dicks.
Visitation for Mary Mossman will be held 2- 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19 with funeral service at 4:30 p.m. at T. W. Curry Parkview Chapel. Interment will be held at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
