MATTHEWS, RANDALL “RANDY” BRUCE - The accidental passing of Randall “Randy” Bruce Matthews, of Fredericton, NB occurred on Saturday, September 13, 2014. Born in Saint John, NB on August 1, 1956, he was the son of Ethel May (Belmore) Hamilton and the late Draper Matthews. Randy enjoyed fishing, picking fiddleheads and berries. He loved nature and animals and also had a great interest in history. Randy was dedicated to his position as a crossing guard in Devon. He is survived by his mother, Ethel; brother, Bob (Maria) Matthews; sister-in-law, Sandra Matthews; aunts, Dorothy and Jean Belmore; one niece; three nephews and many friends. Besides his father, he is predeceased by his step-father, Morley Hamilton and brother, James "Jim" Matthews.
Visitation will take place at Devon Park Baptist Church, 145 Clark Street, on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 12 pm. A Funeral Service will follow at 1 pm with Pastor Terry Woodcock officiating. Interment will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Devon Park Baptist Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
