We the family of the late Russell Scott, extend a heartfelt thank you to our family, friends and neighbours for your love, support and kindness during our recent loss. Thank you to everyone who visited our home, sent food, sympathy cards, flowers, phone calls, monetary gifts, memorial donations and online condolences. Thank you to Fr. Patrick O’Neill for a beautiful and comforting service. Thank you to the organist and members of the Funeral choir, the readers and altar servers and also to the Funeral Reception Committee at St. Joseph Church for the lovely lunch they served. Special thanks to the pall bearers Claude Shepherd, Ernie Johnston, Lloyd Scott, Jimmy Buffett, Grant Johnston and John Swanburg. We would also like to thank Dr. J. Kirkpatrick, Dr. C. Coish, Dr. M. McKeough, Dr. J. Jensen and the nurses and staff at the Northside General Hospital and the Cancer Centre at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital who cared for Russell during his illness. Our deepest gratitude goes to Dan Campbell, Peter Walsh and staff at W.J. Dooley Funeral Home for their professionalism, compassion and support during this very difficult time. Words cannot express how much your love, support and assistance comforted us in our time of sorrow.
