The death occurred at Palliative Care Unit of Community Hospital, O'Leary on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 of Dorothy Maude Hardy of Rosebank, aged 88, wife of the late Eldred Hardy. Born in Roxbury, MA on December 4, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Cyril and Viola (Matthews) Johnston. Loving mother to Hazel (Fenton) Shaw, Bloomfield; Keith (Lorraine), Bloomfield; Iris Barnett, Rosebank and Joyce (Wendell) Arsenault, Summerside. Cherished grandmother to 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, husband Eldred (1988), daughter Carol Ann (infancy), brother Herbert (Charlotte), son in law Lorne Barnett and bother and sister in law Leslie (Dorothy) Hardy. Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary with private family visitation. A private family funeral will be held on Friday in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00am.
