It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ronald Hugh Penney announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the age of 56 years. He leaves to mourn with loving memories wife Susan Penney; daughter Jennifer Penney; son Ronald Penney; grandchildren: Jayla, Nathan, and Samantha, all of Scarborough, ON; sisters: Margaret Targett, Scarborough, ON and Marion Clark, Corner Brook; brothers: Jim Penney (Mary), Bill Penney (Joanne), Gerard Penney (Elizabeth Brake), Corner Brook, Michael Penney (Bridget), Weymouth, England, Phillip Penney, and Brian Penney (Heather), Scarborough, ON; special friend Josie Bennett; also leaving a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents John and Ruby (nee Burrows) Penney; brothers: John Penney, David Penney; brothers in law Robert Targett and Patrick Clark. In keeping with Ron’s wishes cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving friends at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Monday from 7-9 p.m. The Memorial Service will take place on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. from Country Haven Funeral Chapel, officiated by Father Edward Terry. Interment will follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Duck’s Unlimited.
