MOORE, ALMA ISABEL - 1921 - 2014 - Alma I. Moore passed peacefully at Pine Grove Nursing Home on Monday, September 22, 2014, at the age of 92. Born in Springfield, York County, NB, daughter of Woodford and Gladys (Davidson) Moore, Alma was a lifelong resident of Fredericton. A retired provincial civil servant, Alma was a longtime employee in the Comptroller’s Office of the Department of Finance. Always the faithful servant to her Lord and Saviour through her close ties to the Pentecostal Church and then Smythe Street Cathedral, Alma was a dear friend to all those with whom she met and especially so to someone in need. Alma is survived by her brother’s children; Gerry (Linda) Moore of Moncton; Joyce (Hilly) Booker of New Maryland; Janice (Dave) Brown of Fredericton; and her sister’s son, Peter (Linda) Manzer of Calgary, Alberta; and their offspring as well as her Davidson cousins and her dear friend, Robert Webb. Alma was predeceased by her sisters, Thelma Moore and Anna Manzer, and her brothers, Ellis and Murray Moore. Special thanks go out to her niece, Joyce Booker for all of her kindness and support. A funeral service will be held at Smythe Street Cathedral on Saturday, September 27 at 3 PM. Rev. Verner Drost will officiate.
